Orange can happen for a few reasons.
- Over sprayed solutions. More spray does not mean more beautiful. In fact, over-spraying can overwhelm the skin and create a color that looks heavy or unnatural. Our NUDA spray tan formulas are light-weight and you only need 1-1.5 pass by’s.
- Low-quality ingredients. These and poorly balanced bronzers can pull too warm, too flat, or too artificial. Choose your brand wisely.
- Incorrect shade or shade expectations. A shade can be wrong for your skin tone. A formula that looks gorgeous on one person may look completely different on another. Having realistic expectations for your coloring is important although we can do some pretty amazing things with our customized coloring systems for all skin types!
- Poor technique. A spray tan is not just spraying color on skin. It is placement, distance, blending, contour awareness, dry-area control, and knowing when to stop. Yes, knowing when to stop is a skill.
Why Undertones Matter
Your skin has natural undertones. Some people are cooler, some are warmer, some are more neutral, golden, olive, pink, or deep.
A beautiful spray tan works with your undertone, not against it.

Our NUDA formulas offer a range of professional solutions with different bases and depths, including options like Latte for pale complexions, Cappuccino as a balanced true-brown rapid solution, Caramel for sensitive skin with a golden-brown result, and Dark Cherry for medium to deep skin tones with mahogany warmth. Each have different DHA levels and color basis giving us dozens of mixtures and that gives us room to create a glow that feels intentional, not accidental.
